Senior Java Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer for an insurance-based project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, primarily focusing on backend systems using technologies such as Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. Proficiency in relational databases and AWS, particularly with Lambdas, is essential. Strong communication skills in English are a requirement for effective collaboration within multinational team.
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy scalable Java applications for an insurance project.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and project managers.
Implement and maintain backend APIs using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend services.
Optimize and refactor existing codebase for improved efficiency and maintainability.
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in development and production environments.
Develop and maintain technical documentation related to the project.

Requirements:

8+ years of professional software development experience.
Extensive hands-on experience with Java programming language.
In-depth knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
Proficiency in designing and optimizing relational databases.
Strong understanding of AWS services, especially Lambdas.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Prior experience in the insurance domain or financial services is a plus.
